On their second album, We Are Scientists hope to surprise a lot of people - - the same way they did with their 2005 debut, "Love and Squalor." Back then the band was a three-piece. Keith Murray (guitar & lead vocals) and Chris Cain (bass & backing vocals) were faced with some changes last fall when long-time drummer Michael Tapper left the group. The two founding members have since failed to name a replacement but have added touring drummers and keyboardists to round out their sound. The results, so far, are mostly very positive. The new record; "Brain Thrust Mastery" has only been in my CD player for a few days but I have definitely liked what I have heard. Just check out the upbeat, rolling sound of "After Hours;" Indie Pop has never sounded so good!

We Are Scientists is on tour in Europe through August. Check the Dates.
